Husband and wife team Simon and Helena Hills dreamt up the idea for TrueStart whilst IronMan triathlon training in 2015. They had stumbled across the caffeine craze within high performance sports.
The problem they found is they were unable to monitor the caffeine content they were consuming - which became a real challenge as the duo strived for caffeine perkiness whilst avoiding a caffeine crash.
Something I'm sure we can all empathise with when we've had one too many coffees at work...

Having successfully launched TrueStart instant coffee - allowing anyone to track the exact amount of caffeine you consume on a per cup basis - the next challenge came in providing that same caffeine buzz when you are without a kettle.
So in 2017, TrueStart launched their new Hero bars - a snack bar containing coffee to sate your caffeine cravings.
